Your Nervous System is Your Business Partner

While preparing my talk for the upcoming Career Summit, titled
“Building Your Career While Healing From Trauma,”
I paused on a sentence that kept echoing in my mind:

“Your nervous system is your business partner.”

It’s more than a concept—it’s the foundation for how we show up in work, in relationships, and especially in therapy rooms.

Because here’s the truth we don’t always say out loud:
You can have all the training.
You can care deeply.
And still—if your nervous system isn’t regulated, your clients will feel that.

Before you say a single word, they’re reading your breath.
Your posture.
Your tone.
Your nervous system.

“We’re neurobiologically wired to sense safety or threat in another human being—before they even speak.”

This is the kind of depth I’ll be speaking about during the summit—how trauma healing isn’t just internal work, it’s also career-shaping work.

Because for so many people, especially those navigating trauma recovery, choosing a career path or building a business isn’t just about skills.
It’s about regulating through fear, moving forward with intention, and building a life that feels safe enough to grow in.

Whether you're a therapist or someone supporting clients who are in transition, this summit offers real-world support, nuance, and hope.

If you're walking alongside clients who feel stuck, scared, or unsure of their path—this summit could be the very thing that helps them take a step forward.

Warmly,

  • Embody the work they practice

  • Deepen confidence with somatic, attachment, and nervous system tools

  • Feel less alone in the complexity of this work

This is about mastery, depth, and a sustainable path forward.
