Therapists moving through the developmental movements

Why This, Now

You asked how to apply it.
This is the answer.

Since the class, so many of you have asked the same thing: how do I actually use this with my clients? So I am offering this. Four hours to take each movement into your real cases, to embody it in your own body, and to build the skill to work with it, one movement at a time.

The Five Movements

Yield
Can I receive support?
Push
Can I set boundaries?
Reach
Toward what I need?
Grasp
Take hold of it?
Pull
Make it my own?

How We Work

The clinical thinking underneath every movement.

In each session we run the same way of thinking, the one I use in my own room, until it becomes yours too. Not a formula, a lens you can bring to any client.

See

What movement am I actually looking at?

Assess

Is it underdeveloped, overdeveloped, interrupted, or protective?

Facilitate

What experience does this nervous system need now?

Integrate

How does this reshape the treatment plan?

The Four Sessions

One movement, each week.

September sessions: Sep 3 Yield, Sep 10 Push, Sep 17 Reach, Sep 24 Grasp and Pull

How Each Hour Runs

The same rhythm, so it becomes yours.

We teach

The developmental movement, what it is for, and what interrupts it.

We feel it

A guided experience of the movement in your own nervous system.

We work cases

Your real clients, read through the movement, out loud, together.

We plan

How the movement reshapes the treatment plan, and what you do next.
