Ever feel like you're having the same therapy session... over and over?

somatic-training-online

There is a definition of insanity that gets tossed around in self-help circles:

"Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

But in your practice, this isn't insanity.

It is heartbreak.

Because the clients who are stuck? They aren't lazy.

They are business owners. They are doctors and lawyers. They are busy moms and dads.

They are carving out precious hours from their lives and paying $200, $300 a session because they desperately want to heal.

They are showing up. They are efforting.

And you? You are trained. You care. You are doing the work.

But sometimes... it feels like you are both just spinning in circles.

So why is there a disconnect?

Think about a time in your own life when you tried to share something deep with a friend... and they just looked at you with a blank stare. They heard the words, but they didn't get it. You felt alone.

Now compare that to a time when you spoke to someone who just... understood. Instantly. Without you having to explain. You felt "gotten."

That difference is everything.

The reason your smart, hardworking clients stay stuck is because there is a disconnect in how they are being understood.

They are trying to move, but their nervous system is hitting an invisible wall called a Broken Action Cycle.

In a regulated nervous system, an impulse travels a specific path: Sensation -> Awareness -> Mobilization -> Action -> Contact -> Satisfaction -> Withdrawal.

It is a beautiful, natural wave.

But trauma breaks that wave.

Most of your stuck clients are looping endlessly between Sensation and Awareness. They feel the pain, they talk about the pain... but they never move into Action.

If you don't know how to spot this break, you can't help them bridge the gap.

In my workshop next week, I am going to show you how to find that missing connection.

I will show you how to map a client's Action Cycle, identify exactly where the break is, and use specific tools (JOOTS) to help them complete the wave.

P.S. A lot of clinicians are scared to interrupt a client's process. They think it's "intrusive."

But when you actually understand their Action Cycle... interrupting isn't intrusive. It’s the relief they have been waiting for.
