โ€œWhatever Iโ€™ve learned so far, Iโ€™ve been able to immediately take it into my sessions. Itโ€™s changed how I show up for clients.โ€

Youโ€™ve become extraordinarily good
at what you do.

Youโ€™ve invested years becoming the clinician you are. Your colleagues trust you. Your clients come to you with complicated things. Youโ€™ve built work youโ€™re proud of.

Youโ€™ve done the trainings, the certifications, your own therapy. You understand your patterns better than most.

And you have an appetite for more.

You donโ€™t need more information. You need to use EVERYTHING you already know.

You can hire a marketing team.
Refine your website.
Do 17 more trainings.

But if thereโ€™s a gap between who you are and who you need to be, your clients wonโ€™t shift. And neither will you.

Who this is for

This is for you if everything looks beautiful on paper.

But the life youโ€™ve built doesnโ€™t feel as good as it shouldโ€”and you want to understand why.

This is for the therapist whoโ€™s still hungry. Who knows the next breakthrough starts with her. It isnโ€™t for the faint-hearted: get ready to shed some tears, break your heart open, and meet your own needs in the best way possible.

Thatโ€™s why I created
The Death of the Good Therapist.

A five-day identity experience

The Death of the Good TherapistNovember 16โ€“20, 2026

This is an identity-level shift. You let the Good Therapist go and become who you are meant to be. And it ripples into every room you walk into: your sessions, your leadership, your love and your life.

And it isnโ€™t just getting clear on who youโ€™re becoming. Over five days, I guide you through transformational work, experiences and reflections that leave you with a real shift, one you carry into your next session, your leadership, your love and your life.

Different symptoms. Same hidden gap.

  • The therapist who keeps carrying a clientโ€™s treatment.
  • The practice owner whose team still depends on her for every difficult decision.
  • The educator with an idea she canโ€™t quite stand behind.
  • The woman who understands exactly whatโ€™s happening in her relationshipโ€”and still responds in ways sheโ€™s long since outgrown.

What if the problem isnโ€™t what you know, but the identity youโ€™re operating from?

You can know exactly what needs to change. And still not be able to change it.

You see it with clients all the time. She knows why she keeps choosing unavailable partners. She can trace the attachment patterns, name the protectors, tell you exactly where it began. And yet, there she is. In another relationship that looks painfully familiar.

Insight hasnโ€™t become a new way of living.

The identity that got you here wasnโ€™t a mistake. It may have helped you build a remarkable practice, become a trusted clinician, and create a life youโ€™re deeply proud of.

But what helped you become who you are isnโ€™t necessarily what will help you become who youโ€™re ready to be.

Thatโ€™s the Identity Gap.

The distance between the identity that helped you build your success and the identity your next chapter requires.

From the Good Therapist
to the Exemplary Therapist.

The Good Therapist became successful through training, effort, responsibility and competence. The Exemplary Therapist has something else.

Clinical clarity

She knows what matters in the room. Her clients go deeper, and the breakthroughs hold.

Embodied authority

Her presence does the work before she says a word. Clients, teams and colleagues feel it.

Boundaries

She is clear on who she is for. The right clients find her, and the work stops draining her.

Support

She is surrounded by mentors and peers, so she never carries the hardest cases alone.

Aliveness

Her energy comes back. There is more of her for her own life.

Not losing who you are. Finally becoming her.

When the identity shifts, it ripples everywhere

This is what shifts.

Your clinical depth

You see what other therapists miss. Your edges are wider, so you can hold the rupture, the shame, the part that wants to leave, and your clients go deeper because you can.

Your presence

Clients choose you for how it feels to sit across from you. Your confidence and self-trust are felt before you say a word.

Your visibility

You are comfortable being seen. You speak with the authority you already have: in the room, on the page, in front of your field.

Your flexibility

You stay warm and hold the edge. You guide the work instead of following it, and you move with whatever the session brings.

Your time and energy

You protect them, and there is still energy in you when you walk through your own front door.

Your love and life

You are fully at your own kitchen table, laughing from your belly. Your life feels expansive, with room for your own dreams.

Your opportunities

They land at your doorstep: the book, the bigger room, the waitlist. They find you because you are in alignment with who you are.

Itโ€™s the same nervous system. The way you hold a client is the way you hold everything.

Meet your host ยท Why Iโ€™m teaching this

Esther Goldstein, LCSW

Iโ€™ve spent my career helping therapists go deeper clinically. And the breakthrough that changed everything for me wasnโ€™t clinical. It was who I was being.

My story

I had everything Iโ€™d dreamed of.
And I had built it from a wound.

A group practice of nine clinicians. Thirty clients a week. A family I loved. I loved what I had built. But it felt heavy, and I had outgrown the version of me who built it.

So I did what the good therapist does. I looked for the next thing to learn. I paid a consultant $2,000 for one hour, and they looked at me and asked:

โ€œCould you just focus on yourself and your family?โ€

It was never about knowing more. So I stopped adding trainings and did the soul work, the identity-level work: deep inner work, somatic, in my body. I went through my own ego death. A version of me had to die so the next one could live.

And everything shifted. I became someone who could hold it all in a way that felt good: with dinner times, without people-pleasing, with a team that was happy to be there.

I didnโ€™t need to build a different life. I needed to become capable of living differently inside it.

That is how I facilitate. I mirror back the identity running your work, and help you shift it from the inside, not just understand it.

This week shows you the gap. Trauma Mastery is where you become the therapist who closes it, again and again.

Five days to see what you may have been too close to recognize.

In how you lead, how you love, and how you live.

The Identity Gap

Where are you operating from now?

The over-responsible clinician. The wounded healer. The overfunctioner. The rescuer. The overperformer. The one who overworks so no one questions whether she belongs. The one who earns belonging by taking care of everyone. The one who must never disappoint anyone. The one so capable, so prepared, that no one could question her.

Your discovery: The identity that built your success, and where it stops.

Ego death is the advanced class.

Join the five days ยท from $147

By Friday, your next chapter
will be on one page.

Youโ€™ll be able to see:

  • The pattern you keep repeating.
  • The identity you learned to become.
  • What that identity may be quietly costing you.
  • What a different capacity could make available.
  • Who you are becoming, in therapy, in love and in leadership.
  • How youโ€™ll live it, from Monday on.

You wonโ€™t leave with five more things to work on. Youโ€™ll leave seeing yourself clearly, with a lived sense of who you are becoming, and a room full of therapists who see you.

Still have questions?

Is this another training Iโ€™ll have to find time to finish?

This is five days, built around your real week. Two live sessions and three short audios you can listen to between clients.

What if I canโ€™t make the live calls?

Every live session is recorded, and you can bring your reflections to the community anytime.

Who is this for?

Licensed therapists who have already built something meaningful: practice owners, supervisors, educators, authors, and experienced clinicians.

Where does it take place?

Live sessions on Zoom. Audio trainings and community in Telegram.

โ€œEgo deathโ€ sounds dramatic.

It doesnโ€™t mean youโ€™re divorcing your husband, leaving your kids and moving to Bali. It means getting clear on who youโ€™re becoming, and letting go of the version of you thatโ€™s quietly running the show.

Is this therapy?

Itโ€™s professional development. It will feel personal, because identity work always does.

What will I have by the end?

Your Identity Gap Map: the pattern, the identity, the hidden cost, the possibility, and who you are becoming.

Whatโ€™s the difference between General Admission and the Golden Seat?

General Admission includes the full five days, replays, your Identity Gap Map and the Telegram community. The Golden Seat adds a private VIP Telegram channel where Iโ€™ll be engaging during the week and workshopping a selection of your questions, and an exclusive one-hour VIP live call. Golden Seats are limited to 20 therapists.

When does it begin?

Monday, November 16, 2026.

A horse rearing in golden light

You can stay the Good Therapist. Take the next training. Carry a little more each year. The client youโ€™ve been holding carefully for months stays where she is, and so does the life youโ€™ve built.

Or you can shift who you are being, and feel it ripple through your sessions, your leadership, your love and your life.

Become the clinician, leader, and person who can fully embody everything youโ€™ve spent years learning.

Because the deepest clinical breakthroughs start with you.

Real messages from therapists working with me

This is what the shift sounds like.

Message from a therapist: I am feeling so much more grounded and confident in how I am reading and responding to my client's words and body in sessions, and I can tell my clients can feel the difference in what I am bringing, and I already see improved outcomes
Clinical depth
Message from a therapist: Several wins this last week in not just seeing the thing and the thing under the thing, but in feeling more embodied in self-leadership and direction to name the thing under the thing relationally, not just with clients but in other personal and professional relationships
Leadership, self and identity

P.S. The Golden Seat is limited to 20 therapists, and includes a private VIP Telegram channel and an exclusive one-hour VIP live call with me.
